Can you get herpes if you and your partner do not have herpes?

Soo i was just wondering if I can still get herpes even if i dont have it nor my partner. Can I still get herpes? Can you give herpes if you dont have a clean penis? I want to knoww possibly.

    Having poor hygiene does not make you at risk for catching herpes…. You can only get herpes from someone else who has it.

    No you can not get herpes if you dont have it and your partner does not have it. And you cannot get it nor give it, if one of you does not have a clean penis or any other parts.
    One thing i can tell you is,,,,, you can get herpes by anyone,, and once you do.. it is for life.

    herpes is a virus and can lie dormant in ones body.stress can trigger an outbreak, but it’s not caused by poor hygiene. just b/c you can’t see any visible signs or sores doesn’t mean you’re safe. it can still be transmitted w/o either knowing if the other has it. be safe b/c there is no cure for herpes only treatments.

    Hi,well no you can not give yourself herpes and no you can not get herpes from somone if they dont have it..herpes is a virus and you have to catch it in order to give it ….you only get it from some one who has the virus already. You can get herpes by kissing, skin to skin contact and sex of course…but remeber only if the person you are messing with has it already. You do not get it from not being as clean as you should…but always use a condom unless you both have been checked for any std and are trying to have a baby .. hope this helped bye

    no, if neither person carries the virus, no one can contract it

    (but they can carry the virus and never have an outbreak or show any symptoms, only a medical test is certain)
