Scared.Doctor thinks I may have HSV2?

Doc saw a spot around my butt and suspected HSV2. But let me get a few things out there.
1.I’m a virgin, in every form.
2.I’m certainly not gay…so I thought the placement was strange.
3.I’ve read online that skin to skin contact is about the only way to get this.
I’ve been freaking out, what could be up?
sexually active w/out intercourse???
I thought I made it clear I have done nothing, hugged a girl at most.

    Dont be scared it happens and you go to be strong. I have been and its been 4 days since i found out i was expose to it. You dont have to be gay to be exposed. being sexually active without intercouser does it, such as oral sex and skin to skin contact with genital affected area.

    Herpes can be spread through oral, vaginal, and anal sex, though HSV-1 is less likely to change from oral to genital herpes, and HSV-2 is most likely to remain on the genitals. HSV Type 2 also typically causes sores in the genital area, and on some occasions around the mouth. It is HSV type 2 that can be passed from a mother with genital herpes to her child during vaginal childbirth, and is generally spread from person to person through sexual contact.

    1. If you haven’t had oral se or sexual intercourse before then you’re not likely to have herpes below the waist. You’re not likely to get it from objects or at birth.
    2. Being gay has nothing to do with getting HSV2, any one can contract herpes gay or straight. If you have sex you have a risk of getting herpes. I have a boy friend (I’m straight), I have HSV1 and HSV2.
    3. Yes skin to skin contact during sex is how you get herpes. But you’re not going to get it from just hugging or touching some one that has HSV2 (you have to do more then that to get herpes), that is not what they mean by skin to skin contact.
    Sexually active means that you have oral sex or sexual intercourse before. If you haven’t done any thing sexual then you’re not sexually active.
    It could be just a bacterial infection, boils, cysts or in grown hairs. Bumps down there doesn’t always mean that it’s herpes.

    • HSV Type 1 is a type of herpes that is usually transmitted from person to person by kissing or sharing forks, spoons and other eating utensils when one person has sores present. Usually sores from HSV Type 1 are found around the mouth, but can also occur in the genital area.
    • HSV Type 2 also typically causes sores in the genital area, and on some occasions around the mouth. It is HSV type 2 that can be passed from a mother with genital herpes to her child during vaginal childbirth, and is generally spread from person to person through sexual contact.
