Herpes hsv1 on genitals?

I don’t get coldsores but I know it’s possible to still carry hsv1 and not have symptoms. Anyway. I gave my girlfriend oral sex. She shaves. But now she has four red bumps on her vagina(not in the lips). The red bumps appeared after she shaved but they are still there after 10 days. She says they are sore. Help I dont want her to have herpes because of me. Weve only been sexually active with eachother but I’ve kissed other girls. :/ what are her chances? And could this just be razor burn?

    it’s very possible that it is just razor burn. but you really can’t tell. there are typical herpes symptoms and atypical symptoms. she should get bloodwork done.

    The bumps could be just from shaving, but if she wants to know then you should tell her to see a doctor and get tested for herpes. It usually takes about 1 -3 weeks to develop a break out of herpes. You can pass them on in between break outs but it’s less likely to be passed when you don’t have a cold sore.

    It’s likely that these are razor burn or another of skin irritation.

    It is possible to have HSV1 and not have any symptoms. it’s also possible to transmit HSV1 when you don’t have symptoms–but it’s far less common.

    While these bumps *could* be herpes, herpes lesions typically are accompanied by a good deal of itching, soreness, achiness, or pain.

    If she is really concerned, she can visit her doctor or a health clinic for a simple swab test or blood test for herpes.
