the chances of me having HSV2 oral or genital?

my names bob asked:


long story short : went on holiday , got drunk , had sex (I wore a condom) and also oral (I wore the condom she didn’t wear anything) , messaged her she said she was clean from been tested a month ago , it was my first time , I know I can’t catch anything from her if she’s clean and that if she is lying the chances are also low , I’ve had no sores down below only the odd itchy pubes which is just coincidence I think , had what looked to me like pimples on my lips but apparently were cold sores even though they didn’t look like blisters or itch,irritate or burn , do you think I could have contracted herpes its also been a month and 4 days since my contact with her?

    Herpes simplex- cold sores- is very common and most people have it, even if they don’t have symptoms. It can be brought to the surface from stress, excessive sun exposure, and immune deficiency. The simplex virus does NOT effect the genitals, and is not present in the reproductive organs. The virus lays dormant along the mouth, nose, and eyes.

    Genital herpes is a different strain of the virus, and lays dormant along the eyes, genitals and anus. It would not present itself in your lips.

    The chances of yo having HSV2 orally is very rare, it’s possible but not always passed to the mouth.
    HSV2 is even less likely to be passed to the mouth while there is no break out.
    Since you used a condom and if there were no signs of a break out then you don’t have much chance of getting herpes.
    Most people notice symptoms between 2-30 days of contracting it but some times it can get suppress by your body if you have a healthy immune system. If you really want to know go get tested and stop asking this question, I answered it at least 2-4 times all ready.
    Cold sores (HSV1) absolutely can affect the genitals, they can be passed if your partner gives you oral sex while they have a visible cold sore.

    Something I feel you should be aware of, when they do STI/STD tests they can’t test for Herpes, they only way it can be tested for is when there is an outbreak so that they can tell what type you have got. If you itchy it could be thrush
