hsv2.now hsv1? help?

i had herpes (hsv2) since july ad have been on valtrex since..i read up on it and learned that hsv2 gennerally likes to stay on the genitals, not the mouth…me and my boyfriend have had sex (oral also) many times since i found out thats what i have and i have never had a sore on my lip…we had sex and i did oral on him sunday and yesterday i noticed i have a bump on my lip (im also having an outbreak at the moment)…i have feelings that he’s unfaithful, so i mconfused right now….could he have caught hsv1 from someone else and that would be the reason for the bump on my lip….because i never got one before so i dont know what to think
and he is the only person i been sleeping wit 4 tha past 3 1/2 years, he is tha one that gave me hsv2

    The lesions of HSV-2 and HSV-1 are unable to be distinguished grossly. HSV-1 may affect oral and genital, though orally most common. HSV-2 may affect genital or oral, though mostly oral.
    It is most likely that the lesion on your lip is just HSV-2 transmitted via oral sex.

    Viral STDs including Herpes simplex infections can not be cured. HSV1 can spread to genital area and HSV2 can spread to lips, nose etc. While herpes is not life-threatening, and not all people who have it suffer from outbreaks, those who do experience outbreaks find that topical medication as Zovirax ointment eases the pain and can help speed recovery when blisters appear.
    Herpes simplex viruses (human herpesviruses 1 and 2) commonly cause recurrent infection affecting the skin, mouth, lips, eyes, and genitals. Common severe infections include encephalitis, meningitis, neonatal herpes, and, in immunocompromised patients, disseminated infection. Mucocutaneous infections cause clusters of small painful vesicles on an erythematous base. Diagnosis is clinical; laboratory confirmation by culture, PCR, direct immunofluorescence, or serology can be performed. Treatment is symptomatic; antiviral therapy with acyclovir, valacyclovir, or famciclovir is helpful for severe infections and, if begun early, in recurrent or primary infections.

    Hey, i know what happened, I’ll do my best to explain it to you =]

    Ok soo your boyfriend has HSV-2 genital herpes correct???

    You performed oral on him meaning that you now have HSV-2 oral herpes. You dont have HSV-1 just because it is on your mouth. Your just assuming that because HSV-1 is usually herpes in the eyes, mouth, nose ect. (above the waist) && HSV-2 is usually herpes in the genitals (below the waist). But it is not impossible, its actually very likely to get either one in both areas.

    My boyfriend had HSV-1 oral herpes, performed oral on me and i now have HSV-1 genital herpes. I dont have HSV-2 just because it’s on my genitals, its HSV-1 because thats the type he had.

    Sooo basically your boyfriend is not cheating on you. You do not have HSV-1 oral herpes you have HSV-2 oral herpes. If you want more proof get a blood test done && you’ll find out thats its actually HSV-2 oral herpes from going down on your boyfriend.

    Just so you know, if you dont already know, the herpes virus is transmitted if there is signs of a cold sore or no symptoms at all (asymptomatic shedding). Google it if you want to know more about that.
