How do you know when a herpes outbreak is coming?

I have genital herpes type 1…and ive only had one outbreak (when i first got it)…what are the symptoms that occur when an outbreak is about to start? (feeling, look, etc…im a girl by the way) and are there any good prevention tips for when that feeling comes or even before then? (i am already taking L-Lysine once a day)

    I don’t have genital herpes but I get cold sores, hit this up, its great!

    This website will tell you everything you need plus give you some info on new meds if you like.

    There is only one symptom; Paul Revere will be running around your neighborhood shouting “The Herpes are coming, the Herpes are coming.” And then he’ll hang some lantern or two.
    As far as prevention goes…have your musket ready my friend.

    Try Valtrex number one!
    Women usually tend to break out before their period.
    A tingle sensation in the area.
    Sometimes a pulling and throbbing pain in your legs, mostly the upper thighs.
    Stress is the clue to breakouts!
    Eating is going level your blood!
    Touching and moisture can develope a breakout faster!
    There are studies that said women that have a mental situation like depression, anxiety, post-traumatic, or just nerves can lead to signs of a breakout even worse from before.

    I have the same thing and I’m a girl too.
    I usually get some tingling or burning under the skin of my genitals.
    If you remember any symptoms that you had on your last out break then they would be likely to occur again. Unless you have mild out breaks in which case you may have very mild or next to no symptoms at all.
    There are things that can trigger your out breaks, stress, illnesses, and even certain foods could trigger one. All it takes is for your immune system to be lowered and you could get an out break.
    L-lysine is supposed to help but it doesn’t help me all that much.

    i am also a female who has genital HSV 1, i have only ever had one initial outbreak and then never again, and i am extremely high stress and dont take any meds for it. Every day for a year after my first outbreak i thought i was going to have one, never did again. More than half of people with type 1 do not get an outbreak ever again!
