Just over a month ago I was tested possitive for genital hsv1. Pissed doesn’t even come close to how I feel. He had a cold sore months ago he said but no where near the time he gave me oral. I went to the Dr the following day because the gilr he slep with a week prior had symptoms of something. I’ve had clamydia and he asked me what my symptoms were and I told him. He told me he hadn’t slep with anyone for a year and half. I still made him use a condom until I went pee and with out me knowing he took it off and we had sex again. During sex he stopped and said oh yeah, by the way I might have clamydia. I went to get tests done the following day and got all of them done but HIV and syphalis which I need a blood test for and herpes because there was no signs of it and he said I wouldn’t need that test because of that. I laster found out the girl he slept with prior had sores in her mouth and down there. It wasn’t until 5 days later that I recived 2 sores down there and by the following night was on veltrax. The sore are now gone, but healed up about 2 to 3 days after starting veltrax. I never got them in my mouth. The guy said he got a blood test done and all the tests came back negative, even herpes. I know all my other tests are neg. even clamyida. HIV and syphalis I’m waiting on buy I’m almost positive I don’t have that. The only one thats positive is HSV1. Now I have a new boyfriend. I haven’t yet told him that I have it. I’m scared to. haveing HSV1 is so embarrassing expecally when you have to tell every guy you sleep with. I don’t want every guy I sleep with to know at least right away. I know it’s not that bad because it’s only genital cold sores. It still makes me feel dirty and pisses me off when I think about having it. I just want to totally forget I have it. I’m definitly gunna be more careful now. I just wish it was all just one big bad dream, cuz thats all it feels like. The new guy I’m dating now came with me to get the blood tests done for HIV and syphalis. Infact after telling him he still slept with me unprotected. It’s just the fact that I knew about the genital HSV1 before sleeping with him. I want to go get a blood for HSV1 because if he doesn’t have it then I know for a fact I don’t either. COuld my test have gotten mixed up, could it have been something else ( non-STD) but looked like HSV1? It was a swab that was taken.
I know I’m being stupid. But I’m still really young. I’ve heard so many different things about HSV1. I’m so confused about it. All I know is that I’m very rarely contagious right now. I just want to find out for sure if I have it or not before I tell my current boyfriend.
