What precautions should I take with herpes?

Me & my husband have just been diagnosed with hsv2. He had an affair, I have forgiven him for that. Now I find out I have herpes, I wont leave him because who else will want me now. My question is since we both have type 2 herpes, what precautions do we need take during intercourse..Also are there any good websites you can suggest were I can become more educated.

    If you both have herpes no need for precautions except abstaining during an outbreak. I’m glad you tested for everything.

    Having HSV 2 is not the end of the world. You need to educate yourself about it. First thing is not to stress to much about it. Over time you will have less and less outbreaks.

    Not a lot to know about it. If you get pregnant and have an outbreak you need to deliver the baby without it passing through the normal way.. I believe they do a C section. This is very important because babies do not have a powerful immune system for fighting it and the outcome is very disheartening if they get it.

    You don’t really need to take precautions, you both have the same type of herpes so you’re not likely to re-infect each other in the same spot but you could trigger out breaks for each other. Just be careful not to have oral sex or sexual intercourse if your hubby or you has an out break and try to be faithful to each other you don’t want another std. My boy friend and I both have herpes, we don’t take any precautions accept being committed to each other we are even trying to have a baby.
    You also shouldn’t feel obligated to stay with some one if your not happy. There are other people out there that will be willing to accept you, you might face some rejection along the way but don’t get beaten down by that, if they reject you then they don’t truly love you.
